Feelings are running high in Central St Leonards, since the local newspaper decided to describe the ward I represent as 'a dreadful place to live' interpreting a draft report which is due to come to next weeks cabinet meeting.
Its difficult for any public body to openly consider issues of concentrated deprivation while headline writers have a sensation fixation. But knowing that this weeks newspaper is next weeks chip paper I’m determined we consider exactly what needs to be done now to address key issues in health, housing, community safety, unemployment and low pay.
